2023 Goals

New year, fresh start.

You hear people say, "why wait until the new year to start your goals." That's a fair question to ask, but for myself, I love the idea of a new year being a clean slate.

I prefer to split up my goals into different sections just so it's easier to understand. My splits are financial, health (fitness), spiritual, personal, and business.

Consider these my goals and ambitions for the year. Or at least the most important ones I want to aim for!

Financial:

Now, this is the year Josh and I get married, so navigating finances as a family is going to be different than years past. A goal we both have is to have some sort of investment property! Preferably, a long-term rental that we would be the owners of. This is a big financial task, but one I know we can do with the right budgeting.

Health/Fitness:

This may sound simple but I want to bench a plate! Since being done with soccer, I've been learning how to be in the gym and workout to feel good. With that, I've started to create a community with people at my gym. The encouragement these huge body-builders give you to reach your goals is something else! But, I just want to bench a plate honestly to feel cool.

Spiritual:

I don't love calling it that, but it is what it is.

Something that's been on my heart probably for the past year is to find some way to start a Bible study or mentorship with young girls. I was fortunate to get to have that while being an assistant coach for my old college soccer team. It leaves me so fulfilled getting to spend time with girls and pour life into them. Even if it's just listening to them when they need it!

Personal:

My word last year was bold. Stay tuned for a blog post on this years word! A goal I have this year is to be less fearful and be confident in saying yes to more things. Even if it's something I don't think I like or would usually want to do. I don't want to allow the fear of looking dumb or what others may think stop me from spending time with others or pursuing something new.

Business:

At this point, it's just to be consistent in posting and uploading to my different social channels. If I don't do that, then how can I expect others to support the different places. Even if it's one person, that's more than enough to me!

Those are just a few from my longer list on my notes page!

Let me know in the comments or dm's what some of your goals are for the year.
