I know I posted maybe the end of February but let's be honest. That was typed up probably a month ago and posted because I felt like it was necessary.
Here's a little life update!
At the beginning of the February, I began my new job as part of the Littlestar organization. This job has become such a sweet opportunity that I didn't know I could have! I debated for some time becoming a teacher or an aid to those with special needs in schools. This job essentially brings both of those ideas together! For those who don't know, my older brother Cody was diagnosed with Autism. Here's my inspiration for this job! I want to help others feel as validated and equal as Cody was able to feel. I'll probably make a whole blog post soon! I don't think Autism is talked about or understood enough.
We're also 2 1/2 months out from the wedding day! It's crazy how quickly time is passing leading up to a day most girls dream about since they were little. We've now gotten all our big items accomplished, which is amazing. At this point, it's a lot of little things that are left to come together. We've started to get gifts to put into our future home which is honestly so fun! Now we just need to find a home to put these things into 😂
I also had some special visitors in town this past weekend. My sweet parents came to visit Indiana for the first time! It was a fun time getting to have my two worlds collide. Now everyone has met and knows one another now! They pretty much just wanted to live a day in my life. We took them to my different jobs, local coffee shops, and they put pieces together for when they're back in May for the wedding.
This is such an exciting season of my life. I have so many things to be grateful for right now. I started a new job that i love, I'm surrounded by so many people who champion for me in life, I have a fiancé I couldn't imagine doing life without, family who mean the world to me, and growing my relationship with the Lord slowly everyday.
I'm still learning how to balance it all! It's been a really challenging time in that way. I feel like I have no routine, no super strict schedule, and just hanging on by a thread some days. I know it'll get easier with time and right now, it's just a busier time in my life!
