Bridal Shower: Washington Edition

I'm only almost two months late, but I definitely want to give credit to my AMAZING sisters who threw this shower for me.

I'm so grateful for the fact that I get to have two showers. This bridal shower will be focused on my Washington family from when I was home for Christmas.

It was an intimate gathering of maybe 10-12 people. A few couldn't make it because of a random ice storm Seattle decided to have...regardless, I was thankful for those who wanted come.

My sisters both know everything I love and wanted to be sure to showcase that through the night. Between my sister-in-law who specializes in calligraphy, specifically wedding invites, menu, signs, etc. As well as her mom who now runs a wedding planning business, both were able to put a lot of this together for me. Added bonuses! 🤍

When you walk in, we had this cute photo backdrop my sister-in-law and mom-in-law put together for me. There was a tray of champagne as each guest came in. As well as a cute sign showcasing the event.

As you arrive in the kitchen, they had a sweet homey dinner prepared for the night. They decorated the whole space with neutrals that had pops of olive green (top 2 favorite color) if you didn't know.

We then proceeded to just chat, share a meal together, and played one game where I had to guess if people to a shot of water or tequila. I was terrible at the game 😂

Then opened gifts and it was time to turn in for the night. I was so grateful for all who took time out of their nights to come and celebrate Josh and I's marriage!

My favorite part of the night was a tie between all the ladies writing either encouragements to myself or giving advice for my marriage. I think it's so vital to have older ladies pouring into your life and giving wisdom where you fall short! It meant a lot that they wanted to pour into me even more than they had.

My sisters also printed off a prayer from my great grandma Jane who past away a few years ago. It was so special to have a piece of her there with me and to have my sister read it aloud to us before we ate.

This just made me even more excited to marry Josh but also get to celebrate our marriage with my Indiana family for my second shower with them.
